• About

  Sage Independent Advisers was formed in 1994, when the current owner left the employment of the Wiltshire Friendly Society in order to provide unbiased advice to a wider range of clients. With the initial emphasis on self-employed the business soon outgrew the home office and in 1996 moved into the garage. By of 2000 this became too small as well and new business premises were sought in the nearby town of Weston-super-Mare.

  The premises found & purchased was 67, Severn Road and in early 2001 the business decamped to the new office. However, once again we outgrew the premises, but didn’t move far; just to next door, which thankfully has plenty of room to allow for growth, and in June 2003 we moved and is where we still are.

  In 2004 the business changed to a limited company, mainly to take advantage of the then tax regime. In 2006 Sally Thompson joined as a second adviser specialising in Investments, but with her own client bank and working mainly from her home office.

• Clients

  The ethos of the company is to providing good value, unbiased advice to wide range of clients. We always put clients interests first and can provide advice on just about everything financial. Sage Independent Advisers currently has over 500 clients of which over 40% are self-employed. There are some very specialist areas where we do not have the necessary qualifications, but can recommend and pass the client on to a business that does.

  As Independent Advisers we offer you the option to pay for our sevices with a Fee. The precise amount will depend on your personal circumstances, but as an example, for mortgages a typical amount would be £350.
